Food on the Ave

NE University Way, also known as “The Ave” is located one block west of west campus and has the highest density of restaurants in the University District. Simply follow University Way north from 41st street to 50th street and you'll be sure to find something to eat. Also, always take a friend with you, especially when it's dark outside. We don't recommend straying too far north or west of the Ave at night for safety reasons. Vegetarian (V) and Vegan (Ve) options available.

ARUW Favorites:

University Village

Located a 5-10 min walk from north campus (down a big hill!), University Village is a mall complex with many restaurants and stores. The restaurants found here stand in stark contrast to the establishments on The Ave in both style and price but consist of a variety of food. Vegatarian (V) and Vegan (Ve) options available.

We'll need it.

Boba Tea on the Ave, sorted by southmost to northmost. These are some of our favorites:

Grass-Touching Locations

  • UW Campus
We have a nice campus! Get sprayed by goose shit water at Drumheller fountain! Fight some geese. Show them who is boss.
  • The Quad
On UW Campus, has nice trees, never-before seen in Texas. Unfortunately, they are not pink right now.
  • Gas Works Park
About a 20-30min walk from the HUB. Nice water view and rolling hills.

Other helpful info:

  • ARUW's Lab Space
We are located in the ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering), Southeast of Drumheller Fountain. We are in B011 (in the lower basement, called LB or B2 depending on which elevator you take). It's card access only. If you need some space, tools, etc, find Natalie or another ARUW member and we'll do our best to help you out:)
Please ask an ARUW member if you would like to come to our lab space
